With the Bedrock Foundations
At the Bedrock Foundation, we seek to break the cycle of homelessness. Our first major mission is to provide easier access to identification for those in need. By using our non-profit receipt, we can prove a need for new identification and support those in need through the process of obtaining ID.
Another key role in the cycle of homelessness is the difficulty of maintaining housing and obtaining an address. The Bedrock Foundation worked to support those in need by providing mailing addresses in the form of P.O boxes and affordable housing.
The third key role the Bedrock Foundation seeks to change is to provide support for those seeking a long-term occupation. Through training courses and working wardrobes, we believe that we can help anyone who asks for it.
Our vision at Bedrock Foundation is to decrease the amelioration of homeless rates. We work to provide sustainable and long-lasting options for those in need. By providing credibility for identification, funding P.O. boxes, affordable housing, and job training, along with workplace clothing.
We began our journey to help those facing homelessness in 2022. In 2024, Pennsylvania remains in the top 10 states with the highest population. The World Population Review explains that there are 12,691 people without shelter in Pennsylvania. Through the approaches mentioned above, we hope to reduce those numbers and provide long-lasting solutions.
On May 4th, 2024, we had our first fundraising event. Having a derby theme, we held games based around the Kentucky Derby and successfully raised over 4,000 dollars.
We gratefully attended the 35th Project Home Anniversary where we made a 2,000-dollar donation. We were able to meet many amazing and inspirational people.
